Relaxation brought on by whole body vibration has a diminishing effect on pain by the release of endorphins, encephalin and other pain-reducing neuro-chemicals. Sensory receptors are activated that stimulate and soothe the nervous system.
Results will depend on the amplitude and the frequency applied. The nerves respond to the rhythmic movements of the vibration because of the excitement to the nervous system.
