Learn the Science:
Insomnia and whole body vibration
Health Condition
Insomnia is a condition in which an individual has a hard time falling asleep and/or staying asleep. Insomnia has a number of causes, including illness, medications, habits, depression, lack of physical activity, and stress. Insomnia can be short-term or chronic. This lack of sleep can affect balance, weaken the immune system, and decrease resistance to disease.
Full Body Vibration Plate and Insomnia
Studies have shown that whole body vibration can help reduce stress and may be a helpful treatment for insomnia.(Tuomi et al., 2016) Other treatments for insomnia start with improving sleeping habits and identifying the underlying cause. Sleeping
habits, stress, and lack of physical activity can all contribute to and cause insomnia. Whole body vibration is a simple form of exercise that gets the muscles moving and can help to relieve built up stress.
LifetimeVibe Exercises
LifetimeVibe’s patented design isolates the vibration in the base, not the handles–reducing harsh and violent movement. Unlike competitor machines, LifetimeVibe also accelerates gradually to the chosen speed, making the experience much more comfortable for the user.
Suggested Positions
Stand on LifetimeVibe, choose Massage positions on the reverse side of the flip chart that will be most beneficial for your condition. One helpful position is lying on the floor with your legs on the machine. See page 24 and 25 in the LifetimeVibe Program booklet.
Speeds and Programs
Above 35. Use pre-set program 6. Use for 5-10 minutes. Try using LifetimeVibe twice in the evening: 2 hours before bedtime and then just before bedtime.
