A Chance Meeting
A decade ago, Vicki Honey was walking through her neighborhood grocery store when she saw an old friend. She noticed he was bent over, a bad knee left him hobbling rather than walking, and his face was ashen. She spoke with him for a few moments and left feeling he wasn’t going to be on earth for much longer.
Some months later, Vicki met with the same gentleman once again, but this time he was the very picture of good health! She watched him walk briskly toward her, his face bright and cheery as she stood in amazement. Vicki was intrigued about what had happened that had such a dramatic effect. “Whole body vibration!” he said excitedly, “standing on a vibrating platform for a few minutes every day!” Her mouth agape, Vicki had to know more and talked at length with her newly-rejuvenated friend. She’d never heard of whole body vibration before and started investigating what it was and how it worked.
Personal Testimonial: The Genesis
Vicki purchased a whole body vibration platform thinking it would help her exercise. She quickly discovered it had many other benefits she never expected. After using the whole body vibration platform for a little while, Vicki noticed her hip pain had reduced significantly and as a result of that, her Sciatica and lower back pain was going away also. In addition to the relief from chronic pain in her back and hip, Vicki found she was sleeping better and she felt more focused and productive. As her leg and back strength returned to normal, Vicki decided the machine might help her 90-year-old mother and disabled father.
Vicki purchased a whole body vibration platform for her parents to use at home and the results were equally amazing. After struggling with poor health, incontinence, and a lack of energy, Vicki’s mother became more vibrant, gained control of her bodily functions, and regained strength. Her father gained mental acuity and improved his muscular strength as well. The story was just too good to keep to herself and Vicki began telling friends, neighbors, and family about the transformative changes whole body vibration had brought to her and her parents.
Research and Development
As more people learned about the benefits Vicki and her parents had experienced, folks began to try Vicki’s platform out for themselves. The more people that tried the machine, the more questions that were asked about the health challenges whole body vibration platforms could address. Vicki delved into research about the scientific, medical, and clinical data published on the effects of whole body vibration and she learned it helped with Multiple Sclerosis, balance, circulation, beneficial hormone production and dozens of other health concerns.
Vicki learned that the machine she was selling wasn’t the best design for senior citizens. Vicki herself was over 60 and understood all too well the challenges aging presented everyone. Most of the people who purchased the vibration platform were seniors and they pointed out several problems with the design and engineering of the platform Vicki was using. She decided to take action on the review and suggestions that were pouring in.
Changes for the Better
The manufacturing company that made Vicki’s whole body vibration machine wasn’t changing anything, so Vicki decided she would do it herself. She wanted to create a US company using US-made parts and labor for her American customers. So at a time in her life when most people were thinking more about retirement, Vicki decided to start her own company and she named her company LifetimeVibe.
Without any experience creating a manufacturing plant, owning a sales company, and marketing a relatively unknown product, Vicki went ahead, investing $6,000 in creating the company. Without a shop to manufacture machines in, Tyson Triplett volunteered his driveway and set up a tent. Tyson’s engineering skills combined with his ability to build the exact machine Vicki had in mind made him invaluable in LifetimeVibe’s start-up and success. It would be 4 months before the burgeoning enterprise would move indoors and hire its first employee, a welder. A couple of months later a chiropractor in Parowan, Utah decided to take a leap of faith and purchased 30 machines from Vicki, launching LifetimeVibe toward success.
After a year of engineering prototypes, testing designs, and finding the right engineer to build her whole body vibration platform, Vicki had her working prototype and a great partner in Tyson Triplett. The machine was perfect for seniors and Vicki sold her first three prototypes to Chiropractors who would use them with their patients. In fact, the very first machine Vicki delivered, #0001, is still in service at the chiropractor’s office!
Sales have grown and Vicki’s LifetimeVibe Whole Body Vibration platforms are in homes, medical offices, sports venues, and many other places all across America. The scope and scale of the impact of her platform can be seen in the smiles and heard in the compliments Vicki’s customers have provided over the years. Thousands of machines have been sold and thousands of happy, satisfied, and healthier customers are a tribute to Vicki’s foresight, stick-to-it-iveness, and commitment to helping people experience a better and healthier life.
